This time I have prepared for you a model of the DKW 300 Luxus motorcycle, nicknamed Blutbase (blister) for its bright red tank.
The motorcycle was produced between 1929 and 1933 and about 6000 units were produced.
The model itself is drawn in a scale of 1:3, the same as my previous model of the motorcycle Jawa-ČZ 250/353.02. So they can complement each other on the shelf.
When building the model, the same applies as for the Jawa. That is - the model consists of many very small parts, so assemble carefully and cautiously. It is often worth “welding” the parts with a soldering gun instead of gluing them with superglue.
As for the necessary tools, you cannot do without micro screwdrivers, tweezers, pliers, soldering gun and clamps. Use good quality PLA or TPU. You will need about 1KG of black glossy PLA, 0.5kg of silver (chrome) and gray PLA. Also about 300g of black matte PLA or TPU (tires) and the same amount of red and yellow PLA. About 100g of blue and brown PLA.
For the best resalts I recommend all parts print with 0.2-0.25mm nozzle and 0.15-0,08 layer. All parts is possible to print on plate for Prusa Mk3 and Mk4.
If something in the instructions and attached pictures is not clear to you, you can try looking at the gallery of my model construction: 3D tisk DKW 300 Luxus Blutbase – jawarmaniak – album on Rajče
