I went looking for the model shown in the back-to-school contest picture, and was disappointed to find that the files only seemed to work for Cura (ie, totally unprintable for me). So I went back to that remix's original and made my own version.
Resized for pens & pencils
Added a chonky belly to make the bottom flat and the interior larger
Made the tail narrower
Hollowed it out all the way down
No supports needed at this size but you may need them if you scale up.
I also added a simple friction-fit connector to join them together at the bottom - you may need to scale it slightly up or down depending on your tolerances to make it fit tightly.
